The Charmed Page is a lovely addition to our small community! The owner is so friendly and always happy to discuss books, giving us readers the perfect opportunity to yap. She also offers a wide range of genres to appeal to all reading tastes. The owner makes a point to provide cute trinkets and merch, partnering with outside vendors that are either women-owned or prioritize missions that give back to good causes. She has cultivated a welcoming space for readers of all kinds to come together and share their love of stories. Be sure to check out this little gem! The charmed page never disappoints📖💗⭐️

I cannot say enough good things about The Charmed Page! It's such a cozy little place and I absolutely love the ambience it gives off. This bookstore is such a gem for this small town. It is something that LC has only wished of having for so many years, and I think that it's so wonderful that there's finally an independent bookstore coming to fruition in a "small town" like this. The owner and her dad are super friendly, and you can tell they care about every single customer that walks through the door. I plan to continue to do my part of supporting local in hopes that they'll stick around for a very long time.

Very well organized book store. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but found a couple of books that looked interesting. Would definitely return another weekend while running errands downtown.

The most adorable indie bookstore! I loved the selection of books both used and new, local authors showcased, bookish merch, and artists! The owner is super kind and an author herself. Such a treasure in Lake Charles! I will be back!

Review written by local author & fellow wheelchair user, Sam Dupre The Charmed Page - Lake Charles, LA Vibes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - a brand new bookstore opened up right in our backyard! The first thing you notice is the beautiful double orange/yellow front doors, on the other side was the kindly owner who welcomed us with open arms. Riah was nothing short of gracious, helpful, and informative. Books/Merch: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - from bestsellers to children’s books and literally everything in between, The Charmed Page is the perfect place to find your next read. One of the best aspects of The Charmed Page was the showcase of works by the local authors in the area, I highly recommend checking them out. Apart from books you’ll find accessories such as tote bags, bookmarks, and covers, bracelets, keychains and so much more. There is a small apothecary section, a cozy reading nook, and an outdoor seating area. Accessibility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - large concrete parking lot features a wide wooden ramp leading up to those beautiful sunset doors. The layout is spacious and maneuverable, though the books on the very top and bottom shelves can be difficult to reach… The bathroom is generously sized and equipped with grab bars for extra safety. However, the sink may pose concerns for those with mobility issues. Add on’s by Kailey Newcity : Owner provided list of events as well as plans to add a lot more books & possibly coffee in the future! Help support local business by keeping her & her sweet dad busy! She is also an author & I look forward to reading her work. Such an adorable little shop with great charm (not just a clever name!)

The Charmed Page is such a wonderful addition to Lake Charles! It’s a beautiful independent bookstore with a thoughtfully curated selection of books for readers of all ages. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for anyone who loves getting lost in a good book. What makes this shop even more special is how much they support local authors and the community. They proudly feature books by local writers and create a space that encourages creativity, connection, and a love of reading. I’m incredibly grateful that they carry my children’s book, Wiggle, Pip, & Zip!, and I love knowing it’s on the shelves of a store that truly celebrates stories and the people who write them. If you’re in Lake Charles, this is absolutely a bookstore worth visiting! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
